      LoadIt is a groundbreaking new digital music download service that enables you to easily and legally download music to your computer and portable music player at the click of a button. With monthly subscription or pay-per-track options as well as over 1 million tracks to choose from, it allows you to experience your music as you want when you want.

    2. What kind of music can I get on LoadIt?

      LoadIt boasts music from a great variety of genres. Search, Discover, and Enjoy music from genres including Alternative, Classical, Dance, and Soundtracks.

    3. What are the system requirements of LoadIt?

      Before installing LoadIt onto your computer, you’ll need to check that it meets the minimum system requirements list below.

      Please Note: In order to install LoadIt onto your computer, you need to be signed in as an Administrator or a member of the Administrators group to perform the installation.

      • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows XP Professional SP2, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition SP2, Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005 Update Rollup 2 or all versions of Windows Vista.
      • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or above
      • Windows Media Player 11
      • Macromedia Flash (V8.0 or higher)
      • Broadband internet connection

      Importance Notice: Windows Media Player 11, which is required to use LoadIt, is not compatible with Windows XP 64-bit.

    4. Which portable music players can I use with LoadIt?

    5. Can I access LoadIt on an Apple Mac?

      LoadIt can be accessed on an Apple Mac, however it needs to have a Microsoft Windows OS installed on it. LoadIt can then only work from within the Windows environment with Windows Media Player 11.

    6. Are downloads from LoadIt legal?

      All songs that you download from LoadIt are legal. Our songs are licensed and protected with Windows Media Digital Rights Management.

    7. Can I use my iPod with LoadIt?

      Apple has chosen to allow their iPods to only play their own file format, AAC.

      The LoadIt catalogue is currently only in Windows Media Audio (WMA) format and protected by the Windows Digital Rights Management (DRM) software, which is not compatible with the iPod.

    8. Can LoadIt be accessed outside Australia?

      LoadIt is currently only available for use within Australia.

      Sanity LoadIt audio files are Microsoft's secure Windows Media (.wma), 192kbps (DRM wrapped) format.

  2. LoadIt 14 Day Trial
    1. When can I use my free trial?

      You can register to experience the LoadIt 14-Day/300-Track Cap Free Trial if you:

      - Are registering with LoadIt for the first time.

      - Are a LoadIt By The Track member who hasn’t already registered for the free trial.

      - Aren’t already registered as a free trial member.

      - Aren’t already subscribed to the LoadIt $29 Cap plan.

    2. What do I get with the LoadIt 14 Day Free Trial?

      The LoadIt 14 Day Free Trial gives you 14 days or a download quota of 300 songs to experience what LoadIt has to offer. You have free rein of the site and can experience the benefits of a full subscription plan.

      This includes being able to download music from a catalogue of over 1 millions songs and transfer your music from your computer to a compatible music device.

      Your free trial will end when you either reach 300 downloads or the 14 day expiry.

    3. What happens when my LoadIt 14 Day Free Trial expires?

      At the end of your free trial you will automatically become a LoadIt By The Track member.

      Even if you have not already done so during your free trial registration, you are not obligated to provide your credit card details; however, if you wish to purchase music or upgrade to a subscription plan in order to access the music you have downloaded throughout your free trial, you will be required to do so.

      Please Note: If you choose not to subscribe to LoadIt, music you downloaded during your 14 Day  Free Trial will no longer be playable on your PC or portable music player.

  3. Caps
    1. What are LoadIt Cap Plans?

      LoadIt Cap plans are subscription-based registrations to the LoadIt music service. They are charged at a monthly fee and have monthly download quotas placed on them. LoadIt Cap plans allow you to download music to a number of computers and transfer your music to compatible devices as and when you please.

      LoadIt Cap plans have excess download fees applied when you download music over your plan quota. Excess download fees are charged at a rate of 10 cents per track, up to a maximum of 50 tracks/month.

    2. Can I change my LoadIt Cap Plan?

      You are free to upgrade or downgrade to a new LoadIt Cap plan whenever you please. You can do this by signing in and going to your ‘My Account’ page. Here you can select ‘Change Account’ and follow the easy step-by-step instructions.

    3. What happens when I reach my monthly download quota?

      We will send you an email when you are nearing your monthly download quota. Once it is reached you are still free to download music from LoadIt but you will be charged a fee of 10 cents for every track you download (maximum of 50 tracks).

    4. What is an excess download charge?

      An excess download charge is the charge placed on every track that you download over your monthly download limit. The charge is 10 cents for every track above your monthly cap limit, and the maximum number of tracks that may be downloaded is 50.

    5. When am I billed for my excess download fees?

      Your excess download fees are accumulated and charged at the start of the next billing month with your next monthly Cap plan subscription fee.

    6. How do I keep track of my download quota?

      You can keep track of the number of downloads you have made throughout the month and your remaining count by signing in to LoadIt and viewing the Download Gauge located in your My Account page.

      If you exceed you monthly cap limit your download gauge will also display the number of tracks downloaded over your monthly quota and the total charge to be billed to your credit card at the beginning of the next billing period.

  4. Playing Downloading and Buying Music
    1. What are usage rights?

      Usage rights are the activities set by the individual Rights Holders stating what you are permitted to do with the item. Usage Rights will usually state how many downloads you are allowed per computer/device and how many burns to CD are permitted. Usage right vary between music you download and music you purchase and own.

    2. What are the usage rights for music I download - as a subscriber - on LoadIt?

      For any Subscription music that you download from LoadIt the following Usage Rights apply:

      • Three user Designated Devices (3 PCs)
      • Two Secure Subscription Portable Devices per User Account
      • Transfer unlimited number of times
      • At any one time, only 1 person logged on

      "Secure Subscription Portable Device (or SSPD)" means a portable hardware device with software (including embedded software) that enables the User to export digital music files from a personal computer (provided it is a Permitted Designated Device) for play back on the device and operates in accordance with the Portable Subscription Download Usage Rules. A SSPD must (a) have Microsoft security level 2000 (or equivalent security level) and (b) have no unprotected digital outputs and (c) have a secure clock.

    3. What are the usage rights for music I purchase - outright - on LoadIt?

      For any music purchased outright from LoadIt the following usage Rights apply:

      • Five user designated devices (5PCs)
      • Up to 7 burns per purchased track, including as part of playlist
      • Up to 25 transfers per track to up to any Secure Portable Device

       
      "Secure Portable Device" means a portable hardware device with software (including embedded software) that enables the User to export digital music files from a personal computer (provided it is a Permitted Designated Device) for play back on the device and operates in accordance with the Usage Rules. A Secure Portable Device must:

      (a) have Microsoft security level 2000 (or equivalent security level) and

      (b) have no unprotected digital outputs.

    4. How do I download songs?

      If you are subscribed to LoadIt, you can download music by clicking the ‘Download’ button next to the song. Once clicked this button will display ‘Downloading’ and will appear as a download progress bar.

      Once the song has completely downloaded the button will display ‘In Library’.

      If you are not a LoadIt subscription member and are registered as a LoadIt By The Track member you will see a ‘Buy’ button instead of a download button. This means you need to purchase the song in order to download it.

      When you click the ‘Buy’ button it will change to read ‘Confirm’. Clicking this again will confirm the charge and ‘Downloading’ will appear. Once the song has completely downloaded the button will display ‘In Library’.

    5. How do I download albums?

      If you are purchasing more than one song or album, highlight the songs you wish to purchase, right click, and select ‘Buy’. Alternatively, you can right-click the album cover art and select ‘Buy’.

      To select multiple adjacent items, press and hold the SHIFT key while selecting.

      To select multiple non-adjacent items, press and hold the CTRL key while selecting.

    6. How do I play full-length tracks on LoadIt?

      You can play full-length tracks on LoadIt by downloading or purchasing tracks. Once a track has been downloaded or purchased, you can go into your Windows Media Player library & play the track from there.

      Alternatively, you can sample a track before you purchase by double clicking on it to hear a 30 second sample.

    7. Can I purchase music CDs from LoadIt?

      LoadIt does not sell CDs. If you wish to purchase music on CD please visit www.sanity.com.au

    8. Can I sell, distribute or make a profit from the music I download from LoadIt?

      As a member of LoadIt you are bound by the Terms and Conditions regarding the usage of LoadIt and its contents. This states that you are prohibited from selling, distributing, or profiting from music purchased from LoadIt as this violates intellectual property rights of third parties.

    1. How do I search for music on LoadIt?

      Enter your search term in the ‘Search’ box located in the top right hand corner of LoadIt.

      Results will be displayed in the lower pane window of LoadIt.

      You will have the option of choosing Songs, Artists, or Albums that contain your search query.

    2. What kind of music will I find on LoadIt?

      Daily! Updates are performed on an automatic basis and you need to be connected to the Internet for this to happen.

  6. Playlists
    1. Are there playlists already compiled that I can download?

      Yes! Playlists have been created, with many different types to suit all tastes & all moods. New playlists will be continually added & updated, which will include historical charts, celebrity picks & exclusive content.

      To view what is in a Playlist, click on 'Playlist' in the left navigation pane to bring up the Playlist selection, then double click on an image to view the contents.

      To download or purchase a full playlist, right-click the Playlist Image & select "Save to my Library". This will automatically add it to your selection of Playlists in the upper-left navigation pane of WMP.

    2. How do I create my own playlists in LoadIt?

      To create your own playlist in LoadIt, simply drag tracks of your choice into the right pane and click ‘Save Playlist’. You can also name your playlist and it will appear under the Playlist section of your library.

    3. Where are my playlists if I cannot see them in my library?

      Only your last six playlists appear in your Windows Media Player library. To view all of your playlists you must click on the ‘Playlist’ mode. This can be accessed by clicking on the 'Library' tab, then clicking on 'Playlists' on the left.

    2. Can I use my iPod with LoadIt?

    3. How do I sync my tracks with my portable music player?

      When you first connect your portable music player to LoadIt, you need to establish a ‘Sync Relationship’ with it. To do this, sign into LoadIt & click on 'My Account'. Make sure your device is connected to your PC, click on Device Mangement, then on 'Register Device'. Click on 'Detect Device' to find your player. If the device is supported, it will appear with a tick box to select it. Tick the box & hit the ‘Register’ button

      You’ll see your portable music player listed in the left menu tree. All products in your LoadIt library with Sync Rights will automatically sync to your device.

      You can manually sync with your portable music player by right-clicking on your device in the left menu tree and selecting Sync.

    4. How do I disable auto-sync?

      You can disable auto-sync by right clicking on your device in the left menu tree, selecting ‘Set Up Sync’ and unchecking the ‘Sync this device automatically’ option in the pop up.

  8. Burning
    1. Can I burn the music that I download from LoadIt?

      You are prohibited from burning music that you have downloaded (and do not own) through a subscription account with LoadIt.

    2. Can I burn music that I have bought from LoadIt?

      You are allowed to burn any music that you have purchased from LoadIt as many times as you like per track. However, when the track is part of a playlist, it can only be burnt up to 7 times. We recommend that burns be created using Windows Media Player 11.

  9. Billing
    1. What will I get charged for when using LoadIt?

      Depending on the type of registration you have with LoadIt, the following charges may be applied:

      - Subscription fees

      - Excess Downloads (over your stated download quota)

      - Products and Licenses (in the instance where you wish to own the content)

      - Cancellation Fees (where these may apply)

      If you are a By the Track user, you will need to purchase credit to buy your tracks via Credit Card or Gift Card.

    2. How will you bill me?

      · Subscription Account Fees

      These will be billed accordingly to the plan you have chosen. In most cases this is on a monthly basis and these will be billed in advance of the service period.

      · Excess Download Fees

      Subscription accounts will have capped download limits per month. You can monitor your download activity within your Account settings in LoadIt once you have registered. Once you reach your monthly limit you are still free to download up to 50 extra tracks, but each track you download you will be charged at a fee of 10 cents each. Accumulated excess download charges will be billed at the start of the following month.

    3. Buying Music

      LoadIt uses One Click Purchasing. If your credit card is on file, you can purchase credit for your account by clicking 'Purchase Credit' in 'My Account Balance' section of 'My Account'.

       Once credit has been purchased, you simply need to click the Buy button and the product will be purchased and charged to your card. There is no lengthy checkout process to navigate through. The vast majority of tracks are priced at $1.69.

      All prices displayed on LoadIt are inclusive of GST.

      All music purchases and subscriptions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Before purchasing any music through LoadIt please ensure you are purchasing an item you want.

    9. Will I get charged Cancellation Fees if I cancel my 12 month Cap with the bonus player?

      If you are on a 12 month Cap with bonus Loadit Music Player you will be charged $6.75 per month for the balance of the 12 months that you cancel, exclusive of the first 3 month charge.

      For example, if you cancel your subscription 6 months into a 12 month subscription, your Cancellation fee is $6.75 x 6 months = $40.50

      You are free to browse what’s on offer at LoadIt, listen to free previews, and download Freebies without a LoadIt account. In order to download or purchase music you are required to register with an account plan that suits your needs.

    2. How do I create a LoadIt account?

      To sign up you can either go to the LoadIt tab, click the down arrow, and select LoadIt > Create Account or you can click Sign In and select Create New Account from the pop up.

      You will then be led through a short process of choosing your account type and entering your personal and billing information.

    3. Do I need a credit card to use LoadIt?

      If you wish to download or purchase from LoadIt you are required to add a valid credit card to your account.

      Gift Cards can also be used to purchase tracks, these are available from Sanity, Virgin, HMV & www.sanity.com.au

    4. How do I sign in to LoadIt?

      Click the Sign In option at the top right of LoadIt.

      Enter your registered email address and password.

      Click Sign In.

    5. What happens if I select Remember Me when signing in?

      If you select Remember Me when signing in to LoadIt you will automatically be signed in every time you start LoadIt

      If you wish to cancel this, simply click Sign Out on the top right of the player next to the LoadIt tab.

      If you are using a shared computer we recommend that you don’t click ‘Remember Me’.

    6. How do I change my personal information in LoadIt?

      You can change all of your personal information, including sign in & billing details by signing in and going to your My Account page

    7. How do I move my LoadIt account to a different computer?

      Depending on your access rights, you can access LoadIt on a number of different computers. If you wish to add a new computer you can go to PC Management located in your My Account section, name your different PCs, and either authorise or de-authorise the PCs you wish to add or remove.

      Please review the LoadIt Backup Policy for instructions on how to move your songs onto a different computer.

    8. How do I view my purchase history?

      You can view your purchase history at any time by signing in and going to your My Account page. Here you will see the Purchase History option.

    9. How do I view my download balance?

      You can keep track of the number of downloads you have made throughout the month and your remaining count by signing in to LoadIt and viewing the Download Gauge located in your My Account page.

  11. Gift Cards
    1. Where can I purchase a Gift Card?

      Gift Cards can be purchased in any Sanity, Virgin & HMV store, as well as from www.sanity.com.au

    2. How long is my Gift Card valid for?

      Gift Cards are valid for one year from their date of purchase. A Gift card bought on 1st January 2008 is valid until 1st January 2009.

    3. How do I redeem my gift card on LoadIt?

      Sign in to LoadIt, & click on ‘My Account’. In the ‘My Account Balance’ section, click ‘Redeem Gift Card’. You are required to fill out three fields:

      1. Gift Card number
      2. Gift Card expiry date
      3. Amount you want to redeem

      Once these have been entered correctly, press ‘Redeem’. If any of these are incorrect, it will bring up an error message & allow you to retry.

    4. Which number is the Gift Card number?

      The Gift Card number is located at the bottom of the gift card. It consists of 19 digits, beginning with 560.
